Database: ENCOMPPAT

The ENCOMPPAT File (EnCompass patent database for supporters) contains citations to patents relating to the petroleum and petrochemical industries. Since 1982, coverage has been worldwide. Prior to 1982, coverage was limited to patents issued by the United States, Belgium, Canada, France, West Germany, Great Britain, Holland, Japan, and South Africa. Patents issued by two international organizations, the European Patent Office (EPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), are also included in the file.

Records contain patent information, abstracts, indexing terms, and CAS Registry Numbers (R).
