How do I get the MSDS for stannous chloride?


To open an STN Easy account , click the blue "Open New Account" button and complete the form. Within 30 minutes, your STN Easy login ID and password will be sent to the e-mail address you specify.

To get started, simply enter your login ID and password. Then click "Start Your Session." (1)

To search for the substance, click "CAS Number Search." (2) Type in the name of the chemical. Click "Browse Index" (3) before clicking "Search" to confirm that the chemical name you entered is spelled correctly and is in the database before you pay for the search.

Select the chemical name you wish to search from the "Browse Index" list. Then click the "Search" button. (4)

Stannous chloride is located in the REGISTRY database. To display the detailed record, click on the title "Tin chloride (SnCI2) (8CI, 9CI)." (5)

Note the display cost is in brackets [ ].

The REGISTRY record is displayed. The REGISTRY search ensures that the correct information is retrieved, even if you use a variant name, e.g., dichlorotin or tin chloride.

The REGISTRY record provides a wealth of additional information for this substance through hyperlinks to other STN databases. Links are available to commercial suppliers of the substance, toxicology research, regulated chemical lists, and other news and research.

Click the "Material Safety (MSDS)" link to retrieve the MSDS information. (6)
