I have an existing STN account...

STNEasy works with your regular STN password and login ID. However, you may only log on to one product at a time. STNEasy charges will appear on your STN invoice.

SciFinder IDs cannot be used with STNEasy.

I do not have an STN account...

For quick access to a new individual account:^*

1. Click the Open New Account button on the STNEasy home page
2. Complete and submit the online forms (a credit card is required)
3. You will receive a password via e-mail within 30 minutes

If you use online account sign-up, your account can be used with STNEasy only. For accounts that work with all three STN products or accounts for multiple users, contact Customer Care. If your organization's library ordinarily assigns IDs for searching databases, check with your information professional before signing up for an account.

For accounts signed up online that are less than 3 months old, a ceiling of $190.00 per day is in effect. If you hit this limit and wish to continue searching STNEasy, please call Customer Care to have the limit removed.

^*Please note: Online account sign-up is not available at FIZ Karlsruhe, STN Service Center Europe. Complete this form instead, print it out and send it after signing by mail or fax to FIZ Karlsruhe Customer Service.

STNEasy URLs

There are three URLs worldwide for STNEasy. When your account is established, you are assigned to one of these URLs, usually the one geographically closest to you. If you already have an STN account, you can use the URL corresponding to the STN Service Center you have been using. You may be able to use a different URL than the one you were assigned. Contact Customer Care to discuss your request.

CAS Academic Program

If you are using a CAS Academic Program ID for STN, you can use it with STNEasy. The terms and conditions are the same. To apply for a new CAS Academic Program account, contact Customer Care. Because of the program's special requirements, you cannot use the online sign-up procedure. Hours for CAS Academic Program users vary by time zone. Passwords

To change your password:

1. Log on to STNEasy
2. Click Preferences on the Navigation Frame
3. Select the Change password option, and follow the instructions

If you have forgotten your password, contact Customer Care at your STN Service Center.
