Show Duplicates |

Sometimes the contents of databases overlap. Therefore, a particular document may appear in more than one database and occur multiple times in your List of Answers. When this occurs, the Show Duplicates button is displayed next to the Refine Your Search button. Use this feature to ensure that you do not pay to display the same document more than once.
Click Show Duplicates to identify answers that appear multiple times. STNEasy displays a note after each answer where duplicates are found and lists which databases contain the duplicates.
The Show Duplicates feature works for any answer set of 5000 or less. There is no duplicate removal feature.
Show Duplicates cannot be used in conjunction with Best Match Order. Clicking on one after the other overrides the previous answer display.
Tip: Each time you display a record, you are charged the display fee. If you want to return to a previous display, you can avoid being charged again by using the Search History feature or your browsers Back button.
Tip: When an answer is listed in more than one database, determine which database has the lowest display fee. Display the answer in that database. Keep in mind, however, that abstracts reflect the emphasis of the database. For example, the abstract for a document in CAplus will differ from the abstract for the same document in MEDLINE because the emphases of the databases are different.
