The three drop-down menus near the bottom of the page allow you to choose which answers to display and their format and style.
The Display Selection menu provides the options for viewing: All on this page, Selected on this page, and Selected on all pages. Choose the option that fits your needs. Costs are incurred for each record displayed (see price list ).
The Display Format menu allows you to choose from the display formats available in each database. The content of formats depends on the database. In most cases, Standard format includes bibliographic information and an abstract. Standard Plus format may include additional fields, e.g., indexing terms. In patent databases, Standard Plus format offers more information depending on the patent database, e.g., full text or the exemplary claim for full-text databases, legal status information, or cited references. In addition to Standard and Standard Plus formats, INPADOC also offers Family Brief and Family Plus formats. Family Brief displays the patent family in a compact form and provides bibliographic information only for the basic patent. Family Plus provides the content of Family Brief as well as the bibliographic information and, if available, the legal status information for all members of the patent family.
You may set your default format in the Preferences.
The charge for the display of each answer in the selected format is automatically displayed to the right of each answer. The display price for a format depends on the database. Select the database and select the format from the Display Format menu to view the display price for each answer in the format selected.
The Display Style menu gives you two display style options. STN Easy style includes descriptive names for each field, e.g., Author, Title. STN style is a compact format identical to that used in STN command line displays. Fields are labeled with codes, e.g., AU, TI, rather than descriptive names. Searchers who are comfortable with traditional STN command line searching may prefer STN style. You may set your default style in the Preferences. Both styles are the same price.
After making your selections, click an individual answer to display its record. Or, display several records at once using the Display Answers button.
