Charge Back Codes (CBCs)

The Charge Back Code (CBC) feature can help you save time by sorting charges on your invoice by person, project, or department. This feature is accessible for individual accounts and by Account Administrators for IP Address Authorization.

To use this feature:

1. Click Preferences on the Navigation Frame
2. Select Activate Session, Activate Perm, or Deactivate the charge back code feature
3. Click Apply

For individual accounts
If you select Activate Session, a blank Charge to: field appears near the Search button on the Search page each time you log on. The CBC from your previous session is not pre-filled in the Charge to: field. Entering a CBC is required for each session. Enter the appropriate CBC before conducting a search. For example, if you are an individual charging searches to several different projects, enter a code or name for the appropriate project. If you select Activate Perm, a blank Charge to: field also appears near the Search button when this option is first selected. However, In subsequent STNEasy sessions, the Charge to: field is pre-filled with the CBC from your previous session.

All costs accrue under that CBC until the CBC is changed. When you Deactivate the CBC feature, a Charge to: field does not appear near the Search button.

For accounts with multiple users or user ids, please call Customer Service to activate this feature for all users.*
